Billy DeRoy Clonce

December 18, 1975 - March 12, 2022

Billy DeRoy Clonce, age 46 of Glendive, Montana passed away at Glendive Medical Center on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with his family by his side. A Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Silha Funeral Home with Celebrant Heidi Carney officiating. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. Billy was born on December 18, 1975 in Clinton, Oklahoma, to the late Randy W. Clonce and Roxanne (Wardle) Clonce. He moved around a lot with his parents the first three years of his life, settling down in Glendive at the age of four. He loved being busy, climbing trees, making forts, you couldn’t take your eye off of him. He attended Glendive Public Schools, graduating from DCHS with the Class of 1994. Billy was active in the AAU and school wrestling programs. Following his graduation from DCHS, Billy worked at the Jordan Hotel as a maintenance man. As he got older, he joined New York Air Brake Systems. Later he joined BNSF Railways and made his career there as an engineer. Billy married Trisha Zody, his high school sweetheart. When that marriage ended, he met and married Shalene Ulrich and to this union two sons were born, Brock William Clonce and Taevin Lyle Clonce. His sons were everything to him. He attended every activity or school function they were involved in. Billy’s hobbies were watching his boys wrestle, play football, baseball, fantasy football and motorcycle riding. He was preceded in death by his father, Randy W. Clonce; brother, Andrew E. Clonce; brother-in-law Rusty Limesand; grandfathers, J.D. Wardle and Ronnie W. Clonce and one uncle, Darrell Hall. Billy is survived by his two sons, Brock W. Clonce and Taevin L. Clonce; their mother, Shalene Goodale; his mother, Roxanne Clonce; sisters, Valerie (Nate) Stanhope and Sara (Waco) Engle; brother, Wes (Bobbie) Clonce; grandmothers, Mary Clonce and Iva Marlene Wardle; sister-in-law, Michelle Clonce; nieces and nephews, Reef, Logan, Sophie, Bentlee, Ajay, Shane, Toni and Nora; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy’s name are suggested to Glendive Legion Baseball, Glendive Babe Ruth Baseball, Glendive Mat Devils Wrestling or the Glendive Public Schools Sports Programs.
