Patricia "Pat" Louise Eiker

With grace, warmth, and a generous heart, Patricia Louise Eiker peacefully passed away on April 23, 2025 in Glendive, Montana surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Francis Schreiber officiating. Rite of Committal will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. Born on July 18, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, Pat was the fourth of five children born to John and Nila Cundall. Her early years were spent across parts of Wyoming before the family settled in Montana in 1951. Pat called Circle, MT home and later graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive with the Class of 1959. Shortly after graduation, Pat married Paul “Sonny” Amundson on July 3, 1959, in Glendive. Their time together was brief but blessed with the birth of her son, Paul. After Sonny’s passing in 1960, Pat later found love again and married Robert “Bob” Eiker on August 8, 1964, in Pinedale, WY. Together, they built a beautiful life full of adventure, love, and laughter, celebrating 40 years of marriage before Bob’s passing in 2004. Their family grew to include their daughter Jodee and Bob’s children, Deb Davis and Don Burk, whom Pat loved deeply. The oilfield life took Pat and Bob across Wyoming and Montana—living in Pinedale, Cody, and Baker—before they eventually settled in Glendive. Pat was a vital part of their family oilfield business, Eiker, Inc., working in secretarial and bookkeeping roles. She also owned and operated The Ceramic Shop, a welcoming place filled with creativity, camaraderie, and lots of coffee. Later, she worked at Desseree’s, a clothing store in Glendive. Pat’s most cherished professional role came in her later years, working for Action for Eastern Montana and Head Start. What began as a position as a teacher’s assistant at the Little Red School House grew into a beloved career as an administrative assistant. Pat had a deep compassion for families and left a lasting impact on the lives she touched. An artist at heart, Pat loved crocheting and needlepoint, and she had a remarkable talent for finding the most unique parking spots at every grandchild’s event. She and Bob shared a love for antique hunting and traveling with their camper, collecting memories and antique glassware along the way. Many weekends were spent boating, camping, and laughing with family and friends. Sunday night pizza became a family tradition she treasured. Her greatest joy came from being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great-grandmother. Pat never missed an opportunity to show up for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cheering them on from near and far—making them feel special in every way. Pat is survived by her children, Paul (Marlene) Eiker, Jodee (Joe) Hadley, and Don Burk; son-in-law, Brad Davis; sister, Linda (Mike) Niedge; sisters-in-law, Joan Cundall and Dorothy Cundall; numerous nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren (with two more expected this summer); and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Paul “Sonny” Amundson and Robert “Bob” Eiker; parents, John and Nila Cundall; daughter Deb Davis; daughter-in-law Athena Burk; in-laws, Bill and Marguerite Eiker; sister JoAnn Bentz; brothers Jack and Harold Cundall; and brother-in-law John Bentz. Pat will be remembered for her warm hugs, snacks, wise advice, contagious laugh, and the unwavering love she had for her family and friends.
