Dustin "Dusty" J. Boese

Dustin "Dusty" J. Boese, age 53 of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral Services will start at 10:00 AM with Celebrant Heidi Carney officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. A luncheon will be held after services at the Moose Lodge in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. Everyone is encouraged to dress casually. If you have Carhartt clothes or black or blue sweatshirts, please wear them. Dusty was born on November 30, 1969 in Helena, Montana, to his parents Gerald “Jerry” and Patricia (Egeness) Boese. The family lived in Bloomfield from 1969 to 1977. In 1973, they moved a house from Richey to the current farm foundation. Dusty’ s dad Jerry died on September 14, 1976. The family had a farm sale in April and moved to town in 1977. Dusty attended Lincoln Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Dawson County High School, graduating in 1989. He was very successful in football (running back and linebacker), track (running and shot put), wrestling, and also rodeo (bull riding and roping). He worked a couple of summers for Uncle Bob at the Boese Dairy Farms in Big Fork, Montana, that he enjoyed very much. Dusty went to Vet Tech School in Torrington, Wyoming, for a year after graduation. He then moved to Rifle, Colorado, where he worked on a dude ranch as a ranch hand. While his time on the dude ranch was only a year, he truly treasured it. Dusty moved back to Montana and worked at Guelf Lumber. He went to work for Fisher Sand and Gravel in 1992. Dusty married Anita Stoltz on September 4, 1993. Two daughters were born to this union, Codie and Cassidy. Dusty and Anita later divorced. In August of 1994, Dusty moved to Traverse City, Michigan. He worked at MasterCraft Cabinets building custom cabinets. He really loved working there and woodworking. In June of 1996, he moved back to Glendive. He worked for Jim Gehnert Construction until starting his own business, Boese Construction. Dusty started working for BNSF around 1997. He continued working there and Guelf Ranch. During this time, he met Terri Ulrich in 2003. On July 5, 2005, Dusty and Terri were married, and to this union was Bailey, along with his bonus children Tressa, Kylee, and John. Dusty continued working at BNSF until he had to go on disability due to his health. During this time, he followed Bailey in her sports, and he really engrossed his role as grandpa. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Patricia Boese, special uncle and aunt Loren and Sharla Boese. Dusty is survived by his wife Terri; children Bailey Boese of Glendive, Codie (Gus) Kraft and their children Emery and Astoria Kraft, all of Sheridan, Wyoming, Cassidy Boese of Sheridan, Tressa (Chris) Crow and son Ryker of Billings, Montana, Kylee (Josh) Burlison and their children Kylynn, Oaklee, Braxtyn, and Maddux, all of Glendive, John (Lacy) LeSueur of Billings, and a bonus daughter Bailee Koffler of Glendive; brother Dyke (Misti) Boese and their children, Logan (Hanna), Leksie and Laken Boese, all of Bismarck, North Dakota; special cousins Lesa Schock, Mandy Kutzler and Jeff Boese and families; his long time best friends Ron Crockett and Troy Hefle.
