Randy Richard Kniepkamp
July 29, 1958 - January 21, 2022
Randy Kniepkamp, age 63 of Lindsay, Montana, passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 21, 2022, at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, Montana, with his wife and 2 daughters by his side, after a difficult recovery from multiple surgeries. Randy was born July 29, 1958, in Circle, MT to Stanley and Arlene Kniepkamp. He was the third of 4 kids, and a character from the start! He grew up on the family farm in Lindsay, MT (which has been in the family for 100+ years) and his love for farming and ranching blossomed at a young age and continued on until the day he passed. Randy met his wife of 41 years, Ann, and convinced her to make a life on his little slice of heaven, the family farm. Together they had two daughters Erin, and Ellie. He was the best Girl Dad and loved watching his wife coach Circle Wildcat Volleyball, and his favorite athletes were his daughters. You could always hear him leading cheers and getting the crowd pumped up! After his daughters graduated, the new passion he found was photography. He loved getting press passes and doing sports photography and also loved taking nature pictures. Randy had a larger-than-life personality, and could make anyone laugh! He was the best storyteller, knew every dirty joke, and had no shame doing anything to get a laugh out of people. He was 6’6, so he always stood out in a crowd and didn’t mind being the center of attention! He made friends everywhere he went, and was in a bowling league for years traveling the state and raising hell! Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Arlene Kniepkamp, nephew Tyler Kniepkamp, and brother-in-law Charles Mooer. He is survived by his wife, Ann; his daughter Erin (Tyson Wilber) of Billings; daughter Ellie Kniepkamp (Andy Nyberg) of Circle; sister Deb Mooer; brothers Rick (Donna) Kniepkamp; Mike (Kathy) Kniepkamp and several nieces and nephews. Per Randy’s wishes, there will be no immediate funeral and the family has decided to do a celebration of life at a later date. Silha Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
