Beverly (Red Bev) Buxbaum went to meet Don and her heavenly maker at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care on October 13, 2019. She was born on July 8, 1941 to Edwin and Hertha Beyl in Fairview, Montana. She grew up in Glendive and went to school there until 1957. She loved working at the Rose Theater and Outdoor Theater while in school. She loved singing and her and her brother James sang for many a funeral or wedding. In 1956, she met the love of her life, Donald Buxbaum, and they were married on June 16, 1957 in Beach, North Dakota. To this union, three children were born. Donald, Lory and Kelly. She was blessed to be a stay at home mother and her children were the love of her life. She was Don’s partner with the farm for 55 years and many people still remember her driving that green beet truck. She had spent the last years of her life in Grand View Retirement Home, the Terry nursing home and the last few weeks at the Extended Care in Glendive. She was a member of Homemakers, Moose, GMC Auxiliary, and was a 4-H Leader for years. She taught both Sunday and Bible School for Our Savior Lutheran Church of which she was a lifetime member and was both baptized and confirmed there. Bev was awarded first prize in a subscription campaign sponsored by Ranger Review and was always reflecting on that as one of her greatest achievements. She loved doing ceramics of which she did for years and she loved doing craft shows and bazaars and attended many around the state and nearby states. Many people today still talk about owning one of her pieces and the detail that went in to them. Bev also loved her flowers and her peonies were a conversation to many who had the pleasure of seeing them adorn the farm. She loved dancing and her and Don could be seen doing a polka at many a wedding. She is survived by sons Donald (Sharon Lemley) of Phoenix, Arizona and Kelly (Bobbi) of Rapid City, South Dakota. And daughter Lory (Duane) Heltemes of Glendive. Grandchildren Dane and Briana Buxbaum of Phoenix, Lacy, Skylar and Courtney Jones of Aurora, Colorado and Paige Buxbaum of Ionia, Michigan and one great grandson, Syrus Jones of Aurora.
